Group 1<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today we have worked as a group of four and we have been taught how to use a computer and also how to create certain designs printed by a laser printer. As a team we first had to come up with different ideas and also make a few sketches,take measurements and see if the model we have sketched will solve the problem.We drew a computer like sketch and used our creativity to change the concept and make it look even more interesting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had to follow a design process as follows:INVESTIGATE,DESIGN,MAKE,EVALUATE AND LASTLY TO COMMUNICATE.After doing all these steps we were told to firstly make the product on cardboard to see if the design process has produced the correct item.We then had to insert a perspex sheet to make our final product.We were very excited during the process and there were also many frustrations but everything worked out as it was planned.We made a few mistakes but we learnt from them.Through out the day we have learnt many different skills and in the future we would like to take part in these workshops.We would like to thank Dr.Ron Beyers for a wonderful and exciting lesson and for inspiring us to become young scientists and engeneers in our upcoming future and also for leaving us with some words of inspiration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nSTUDENTS; BUHLE ,YOLANDA , SINAWO AND LWANDO<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OUR GROUP DECIDED TO MAKE A 3 DIMENSIONAL HOUSE.WE THEN DREW UP DIFFERENT TYPES OF HOUSES,THEN AS A GROUP WE CHOSE THE BEST HOUSE.AFTER WE DID THAT WE DREW OUR SKETCH ON THE COMPUTER WE THAN USED THE FIVE STEPS OF TECHNOLOGY ;INVESTIGATE DESIGN , MAKE .EVALUATE AND COMMUNICATE. VVE MADE OUR HOUSE THEN PRINTED IT.WE LEARNT HOW TO COMMUNICATE WITH ONE ANOTHER IN A VERY DECENT WAY.WE THINK THAT THIS WAS A VERY EDUCATING EXPERIENCE FOR US.WE NEVER KNEW THAT TECHNOLOGY WOULD BE SO FASCINATING, WE ENIOYED THIS PROJECT VERY MUCH . WE THANK EVERYONE THAT TOOK PART IN THIS AMAZING PROGRAMME.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GROUP 3<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WE AS A GROUP DICIDED TO WORK ON THREE DIMENSIONAL BUS. WE HAVE LEARNED TO COMMUNICATE WITH PEERS,AND TO WORK WITH COMPUTERS .WE ENJOYED THE LESSON OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ENGINEERING OF YESA. AND WE LEARNED TO PUT EFFORT IN WHAT EVER WE ARE DOING IN OUR BEST. EACH OF US CAME WITH DIFFERENT IDEARS BUT WE DICIDED TO CHOOSE THE BUS . AND FROM NOW ON WE KNOW HOW TO CREATE DIFFERENT PROJECTS.WE WANNA THANK THE MOBILE FABLAB EASTERN CAPE PROJECT OF YESA FOR COMING TO DIETRICH PRIMARY SCHOOL AND TEACHING US HOW TO CREAT AND DESIGN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We as the following Chwayita, Anganathi, Nicole,Sinovuyo .We had a very wonderfull experience with YESA,we learned about team work,putting effort in what you do and how to communicate with others.Even though we struggled a few times with the instructions we never gave up and we learnt from our mistakes as we went on with our work.We decided that we were going to make a house and we thought it was a great idea and we enjoyed having such an experience.We also learned about how to design and making a house.We wish we can do it again From group 4 we say thank you for every thing and please do come back again!!On behalf of the whole group we thank you YESA for visiting DIETRICH PRIMARY SCHOOL\u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
