YESA Objective
At the Founding Board Member Meeting held on 10 February 2012 the following Objective was agreed upon:-
Creating a pipeline of talented youth in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Innovation (STEMI) who can feed tertiary institutions and industry with competent individuals who can make a difference.
This will be achieved through:-
- Developing key skills in the areas of creativity and innovation
- Promoting national and international STEMI based competitions, events and Olympiads
- Expanding the YESA community through the use of social media
- Providing hands on training and support for exposure to STEMI
- Sharing of career based information in STEMI
- Encouraging entrepreneurial opportunities
- Establishing and nurturing key partnerships with business, tertiary institutions and government
- Providing opportunities for further research
- Creating a focal point for national initiatives and key policy development in STEMI Human Capital Development
- Making use of any new technologies able to support the overall objective shall be utilized
