Educational Mats

There are two types of mats : Competition and Subject based

Each of the different mats will have their own set of lesson plans and assessment criteria and represent a small sample of what was generated in 2023.

The main thrust is to break the barrier between Coding and Robotics on the one hand and subject content on the other. Providing opportunities for teachers to transition this barrier has produced remarkable outcomes learners in Grade 4 and 5 all the way to subject teachers.

Unleashing their creativity within a competitive environment is very rewarding and leads to a myriad of real learning opportunities enabled by an environment where Coding and Robotics are merely the tools and not the focus.

Competition mats include

  1. Road Safety

2. Subject based Mats

These mats can be used for individual tasks as well as for teams to compete against the clock.

Teams have to start form the corners and move a block onto a country starting with a particular letter chosen for the competition

The blocks at the central depo have to be moved to the different locations

Objects scattered around the board have to be moved into the right areas in the centre of the mat.
