FABLAB IS AMAZING

In the FABLAB we experienced a lot of things like being creative,drawing and designing our own sketches. We have learnt a lot on how to work as a team.This was such a wonderful opportunity for us ,it showed us that in life you can do anything without relying on other people .

What we have experienced today gave us a lot of interest in science and engineering. It was our first time to experiment technical drawings ,we really enjoyed ourselves and all of us participated.As a group we had different views and opinions but at the end of the day we managed to come up with the best solutions which satisfied all of us. In a team you must not criticise other group members views and opinions .

In the FABLAB we learnt more about technological activities and about how to access YESA on mxit.We also learnt that you have to come up with ideas in order to survive in future.FABLAB makes you feel part of the young engineers and scientists of South Africa. It was an honour to take part in it. We believe that we will never forget this day.

Creative minds tackle the FabLab!

It’s nine o’clock and all the guys and girls are boiling out of curiousity. The instructor Mr.Ron Beyers from YESA delivers a short speech that “you must have an idea in life in order to survive” . “You must have an idea so that you can start an entrepreneur venture to benefit”.Our first assignment was to draw a rough sketch of any idea that came up in your head. Our group Managers were as follows: Manager Monwabisi Blaai, Design engineer Mphuthumi Futshane, Construction engineer Vusumzi Dyumani and Media specialist Jean-Pierre Manuel.However all of them puts their heads together and came up with an idea to construct a cupboard. After sketching and measuring plans we went to design our model in the fablab and that was a very huge experience for us.

Then we were off to print on model and now what an experience.We saw how a laser can cut off each piece.Going to the fablab has learned us how to work with a computer and how to work with different softwares of the computers to come up with disigned work and innovations .This was amazing and our eyes couldn’t even believe it.

We’ve also during this little time spend at the fablab discovered that without the presents of engineers we are also as good as nothing in life, because almost everything now in our daily lives needs the help of our engineers.

So as the members of Group 3 we wish to help reducing our problems in South Africa by becoming the future engineers.!!!!!

Fablab gives us a wonderful time and we are enjoying it.We learn to explore our minds and being creative.We learn how to work as a team.Working as a team is great and it is important to make everything succecssful.In the fablab we’ve created a house and it was challenging to us.

In the fablabyou creat something and you must be able to build it in the computer. Fablab was amasing although we’ve struggled to build our design in the computer but we did make it successful.

Being in the fablab is great and we’ve managed to do all the things that were happening there. We are enjoying ourselves in the fablab and it was amasing and we also enjoy our day in the fablab, Thank you.
