GROUP 1

Today was an extremely extra-ordinary day. We would like to say thank you to Mr Ron and the CSIR team for giving us the chance to express our natural hidden talents, that we ourselves did not know of. We appreciate the fact that he and the CSIR team came all the way from Pretoria to give us this opportunity. Today we had fun and we learnt how to be creative and to work as a team. We now know how to make a pencil holder using cardboard and perspex. We really hope that this experience will help us in the future. It would be a blessing to have Mr Ron with us again because he teaches us so many serious things and at the same time making us laugh. He has made a huge difference in our lives and career choices that we are going to make in the near future. We wish that we[YOLANDA RODOLO, SISANDA NTLANTSANA, KURTLEY TARENTAAL and BONGA NTELEZA] could also make a difference in other peoples lives and thats a promise we are willing to make. It was really a life changing experience. Like any other challenge, there were difficulties along the way, but we managed to get through them. Overall it was a wonderful experience for everyone.

Group 2

We had a wonderfull experience at the CSIR MOBILE FABLAB. We thank Mr Ron and CSIR to give us this experience. We would have never gotten this opportunity to be here today if it wasn’t for Mr Ron, the principal and the teachers who selected is to be here today. It’s a lesson we will take with us home and share with our family and friends. Mr Ron was a wounderful teacher and mentor. The technolgy that was used in the lab was more advanced than what we are normally used to. It was a good experience to work with new people and we received a closer view on how today’s technology work. OUR MESSAGE TO THE YOUTH IS IF YOU GET AN opportunity LIKE THIS PLEASE GRAB IT WITH BOTH HANDS.

We struggled but with the help of uncle Ron we saw the light at the end of the tunnel. We thank the CSIR for this opportunity and for inviting us on their Fablab to learn about Science and Technology. We had an awesome day.Thank you guys for this great experience we will all make an effort to use this in daily life.Group members: Team L eader: Sheneigh Johnson, Design Engineer: Chermon Africa, Construction Engineer: Danielle Dennis, Media Engineer: Chandra Clark

Group 4

today we as a group realised that team work is a very important component to make something work,we have come to the realisation that communication is very important as well as inter-action with other team members will ensure a quick finish, our end result took a very long period of time to complete because our group didn,t participate as they should have.I,Karynne was the incharge of the media and Nerlinde Mpoyi was the design engineer,Chamondiale Daniels and Kurt Plaatjies were part of our group….we designed a sort of shelf which was a struggle at the beginning but with the help of Dr.Ron Beyers who assisted us we could complete the task.
