6.Stanza Bopape Secondary 12-08

I did not realize it at the time but it was National Science Week and my presence in this relatively new school was most welcome. We waited patiently for the learners to arrive and set up the demonstration in the courtyard in front of the admin block. These outdoor lessons are still the best venues for Clean Energy Demonstrations. An electrical connection for my fan provided the remaining component for a full demonstration.

I continue to be encouraged by the open mindedness and resourcefulness of many of the learners no matter which school they come from – urban or rural. They were easy to engage with and responded to the problem posed including a general introduction on career guidance and the importance of taking full Mathematics. I am confident that this school will produce a good set of results at the end of the day.
