Competition

Learners are encouraged to participate in as many events, competitions and Olympiads as possible to test themselves against your peers in the same grade. This will give them a better idea of whether to pursue a career in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Innovation (STEMI). Our country desperately needs people to come up with ideas, apply the scientific processes and produce solutions that can be taken further and even developed into products for the market.

The following are three levels of competitions that have been specifically designed for the Green Energy Curriculum and associated processes.

• Clean Energy Demonstrations at your school
  • Level 1 competition – internal
• Top 10 learners identified by the school
  • Level 2 Competition – inter school
• Top 2 teams identified
  • Level 2 Competition – regional/national
